How to draw a Lion:

Step 1: Draw a circle on the side of the paper with a line in the middle, below it draw an angled long oval as depicted below.

Step 2: Form the neck by drawing a curved line between the head and the body. The lower part of the neck is more curved than the upper part. At the back of the body draw guideline of the tail with long line going downward.

Step 3: Add 4 lines below the body as leg guidelines and 2 a verticle line inside the circle depicting face center.

Step 4: In this step draw a w shape below the circle forming snout and 2 ears on both sides with a set of 2 curves. Define legs adding the simple line to it.

Step 5: Draw a lower jaw and a nose in the center of the head. In the lower part of the leg define toes and tail as illustrated below.

Step 6: Add details to the nose, a guideline for mane and eyes. Also shape up the belly, legs, and tails.

Step 7: Now pay attention to the whole drawing and draw eyes, hair guidelines, and nails to the toes.

Step 8: Draw hairs to the mane, use a combination of curved lines in different directions. Add hairs near the belly and neck, add some dots to the snout.
